Inaugurated in 2001 and licensed by the National Council for Higher Education in March 2003, Kabale University (KAB) has enjoyed steady growth and progress. KAB Main Campus is located on Kikungiri Hill, one Kilometre off Kabale-Katuna Highway in Kabale Municipality. Mandated to bridge a highly felt gap in South Western Uganda and the surrounding areas of the Great Lakes Region, KAB offers a serene reflective environment which is enhanced by the cool all-year-round energizing climate. Qualification: At least a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science or related field. A PhD is an added advantage. At least 3 years administrative and managerial experience in a large academic institution or a big commercial organization.

Duties: As head of the Unit, the University Librarian will be responsible for the planning, promotion and management, of quality library and information services of a growing University.
